Hikoya: Grandmother's Soup

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

Sam's grandmother has gray hair and a kind smile. Today, Aziz and Dilya are very hungry. There is nothing to eat at their office, so they go to her house. "Tomorrow is a holiday," she says, "but today I make my famous soup."

She cuts a potato and an onion. The onion makes her cry, and everyone laughs. A neighbor comes with fresh milk from his cow. "How much is it?" asks Aziz. "A thousand," says the neighbor, "but for my old friend it is free."

While the soup cooks, Sam does his homework, and Dilya wants to paint a picture of the garden. Aziz and Dilya sing an old song. Sam's little sister shows her first tooth. "Look!" she says. "Now I can eat soup too!"

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Semning buvisining sochlari kulrang, jilmayishi mehribon. Bugun Aziz bilan Dilya juda och. Ularning ofisida yeydigan hech narsa yo'q, shuning uchun ular buvining uyiga boradi. «Ertaga bayram», deydi u, «lekin bugun mashhur sho'rvamni pishiraman».

U bitta kartoshka va bitta piyoz to'g'raydi. Piyoz uni yig'latadi, hamma kuladi. Bir qo'shni sigirining yangi sutini olib keladi. «Bu qancha?» deb so'raydi Aziz. «Mingta», deydi qo'shni, «lekin eski do'stim uchun bepul».

Sho'rva pishayotganda Sem uy vazifasini qiladi, Dilya esa bog'ning rasmini chizmoqchi. Aziz bilan Dilya eski qo'shiqni aytadi. Semning kichkina singlisi birinchi tishini ko'rsatadi. «Qarang!» deydi u. «Endi men ham sho'rva ichaman!»
