Learn English words through play
EssentialGame.uz is a free English vocabulary website for Uzbek-speaking learners. No sign-up is needed: open the site and start learning.
Our purpose
Many learners memorize English words from a list and forget them the next day. We teach words differently: you hear them and see them inside sentences, then review them with games and exercises, and the words you get wrong come back to you automatically.
The site is suitable for school students, university applicants, students and adults who are starting English from scratch. The current book targets CEFR level A1 (beginner). Word meanings are shown in Uzbek or Russian, so the interface and explanations are written mainly in Uzbek.
What is available now
Book 1 • A1
40 units and 600 core words. Each unit has 15 words, a story and exercises.
For every word
Part of speech, phonetic transcription, audio pronunciation, Uzbek and Russian meanings, synonyms and 5 example sentences with translations.
Stories
A short story for every unit: read-aloud audio, speed control, listening without the text, comprehension questions and a translation.

Review notebook
Words you miss or mark as “hard” are collected in one place and brought back with spaced repetition.
Extras
A placement test, a choice of Uzbek or Russian meanings, installation on a phone and progress backup to a file.
How to study
We recommend one unit a day: look through the words, check yourself with the games and the test, listen to the story while reading, and review your mistakes. These methods are explained in our articles (written in Uzbek):

What is coming next
Only Book 1 • A1 is ready for now. The next books (from A2 up to IELTS) are planned and will be added when they are finished; on the game page they are marked “coming soon”. New articles are added regularly.
